Riverside Elementary School, Salt Lake City

Hi,
I'm Roger Carrier, and in the 1950s, I attended Riverside Elementary School in Salt Lake City, Utah. I'm interested in making a list of my classmates and obtaining pictures of the good-old days at Riverside and also Jordan Junior High, both of which were torn down in the 1970s (?).

I'll start this first post with a list of my teachers:
1955-56: 4th grade, Mr. Robert Archuleta, a great teacher, and one of the first, if not the first, Mexican-American to teach in the public schools in Utah.
1956-57: 5th grade, Mr. Woolston, another great teacher
1957-58: 6th grade, Mr. Nelson, another great teacher

1958-59: 7th grade, Jordan Junior High School
1959-60: 8th grade, Jordan Junior High School
1960-61: 9th grade, Jordan Junior High School

1961-62: 10th grade, West High School
1962-63: 11th grade, West High School
1963-64: 12th grade, West High School

    1. Been a while since I visited this page was remembering when the bridge in front of Jordan JR was moved behind the building and the beautiful stone pathway with willow trees along the river was removed and the rivers path way was also changed to make way for a grassy playing field, also around that time the single lane arched bridge on 5th South was replaced with a two lane.
